In a recent episode my co-hosts Lindsy, BT and I, took a closer look at the mysterious disappearance of Kenny Veach, an experienced hiker who vanished in the Mojave Desert in 2014. We discussed several theories about what might have happened to Kenny. Some suggest he might have taken his own life due to his struggles with depression, though I pointed out that not all who suffer from depression choose that path—especially those as adventurous as Kenny. Others speculate that he could have fallen victim to the harsh desert environment or an animal attack, though BT noted that if he had been arrested for trespassing on military property, we would likely know more about his fate.
One particularly strange aspect of the case is the discovery of Kenny’s cell phone. It’s odd for a hiker to leave behind such a crucial piece of equipment, especially in such a remote area. This led us to consider whether Kenny might have encountered something dangerous or disorienting.

Given the proximity to Area 51, I couldn’t help but entertain the idea that Kenny might have stumbled upon some kind of military technology, like energy weapons, which could cause disorientation—something that aligns with his reported experiences near the cave. We also touched on the possibility of supernatural elements which some believe could explain his disappearance.
